Top 3 Reasons To Buy The New Google Pixel 6 Pro review

Top 3 reasons to buy the new Google Pixel 6 Pro review

There have always been 3 reasons to buy a pixel, its original Android, which means it's fast and also the first to get updates.

The cameras are among the best on the market and are generally cost-effective.

The good news is that you don't have to worry this is an exceptional phone and it still hits the top three reasons to buy a pixel.

The price of the new Google Pixel 6 pro is 849 in the UK and 899 in the US, which puts it on the same level as the s21 plus and one plus 9 pro and halfway between the iPhone 13 and 13 pro.

So clear from the ultras and pro maxes of this world that cost over a grand,

but I would say it's still a genuine competitor and actually, its younger brother, pixel 6 which only costs 599 is the same price as pixel 5 was on launch that was a much smaller, more budget-oriented phone.

In fact, while this is my review of the 6 pro while we're here, I'd say the Pixel 6 is probably the best phone you can get for 600 pounds right now.

  • Designs and variations :

The first thing you'll notice is that this is a big phone with a 6.7-inch quad HD + 120-hertz screen it's gorilla glass vectors front and back and also ip68 so it checks all the boxes for durability but you will certainly want to put a case that because it's too slippery.

The default Pixel 6 is a much more manageable size. I know not everyone is a fan, but I really like the look of this thing. it has a kind of Huawei vibe with that premium feel.

Very frustrating, the different colors have different storage options, so only black has the 256GB version in the UK and a 512GB option in the US, so if you want dark white in 256 then you're out of luck and to the fact that in the UK it reaches 256 which is a bit annoying as there is no micro sd card support and it's good for a flagship phone, I just want an option for more storage.

  • Face Lock is now turned off :

Most Android phones offer both and of course on the iPhone we have that fantastic real depth face ID, albeit no fingerprints, but come on, where did all this extravagant design come from?

  • CAMERA INFORMATION About Google Pixel 6 pro :

google pixel 6 pro camera specs.jpg

So let's jump into this camera and it's a familiar gcam UI. This has an ultra-wide-angle lens 0.7 times the main lens, then a double digital crop hybrid zoom and four times optical zoom thanks to this telephoto lens,

and you can also punch straight up to 20 times, super retake which is kind of hybridy ai smart zoom thingymajig, however it works incredibly well and is probably the best zoom out of the s21.

Camera mode options on google pixel 6 pro.jpg

but you know we also have these new motion camera modes with panning action that focuses on a moving subject and then blows out the background and the long exposure, which is a long exposure, good for light trails and stuff like that. Although I still appreciate the glow of the shadows and now the temperature controls we get when you touch the screen in photo mode.

of course, the photography is incredibly subjective, it doesn't have that brighter iPhone vibe that a lot of people prefer, I think it balances well a more contrasting realistic look with an exceptional level of detail.

and we do still get that awesome astrophotography mode it does need to be perfectly still on a tripod and it takes a few minutes but if you have a clear night sky then there's no other phone that can take a night sky photo like this. The selfies are top notch with good light but pretty hit and miss and darker conditions even using the selfie night sight and the screen illumination flash.

  • Video Quality :

now, if we switch to video, I don't think this matches the same standard as the photo side, it's still good, but it can't match the ridiculously smooth stabilization you get on an iPhone and while detailing and dynamic range it's impressive with good lighting in darker conditions. This phone still has auto white balance issues.  but the flexibility of having the ultra-wide, the telephoto, and the surprisingly impressive long-range super red zoom with this overall quality.

  • Tensor Core Chip and other Specs:

Tensor core chip power.jpg

And as for this new tensor core chip powering everything because, like apple, it's Google's own chip powering its own phone, so, uh, you'd expect there to be some efficiency savings there and I'm looking forward to seeing what developers can do with their machine learning there.

it's kind of hard to say what the chip actually unlocks or you know it allows now, maybe the magic eraser tool wouldn't be possible without it and of course, the on-chip ISP handles all the camera processing, but it's still great to see Google trying something different. and it really holds up against snapdragon 888, it drops a bit in multicore performance, but actually beats snapdragon in the 3dmark graphical test.

The iPhone still comes out on top but it's an impressive showing from the new kid. so the google tensor core does a surprisingly good job and along with the standard Android 12, that very healthy 120-hertz screen and 12 GB RAM on the Pixel 6 pro, it's incredibly fast and responsive.

  • Android 12:

So google's promising five years of security updates with the six series and also of course with this you'll be the very first to get the brand new versions of android. when they come out, instead of waiting 6-12 months like most android phones.

you'll also love the style of Android 12 with this completely redesigned drop-down shortcut bar, a lot more customization including the UI matching the wallpaper colors.

This new extra dimming mode is useful if you incorporate scrolling through Reddit as you do and want an even darker screen so you don't disturb your partner, plus we have some nice extras like live translation so you can download languages and use it. it offline with the camera app and it works.

if you want that pure vanilla android the good stuff then this is the best way of experiencing it.

  • Speakers and Screens:

We also have decent stereo speakers with a fair amount of bass, but the bottom speaker is definitely louder and richer than the top one, so it can sound a little uneven at times.

Another small complaint is that the screen doesn't look as bright as some of its competitors. we're looking at around 675 nits in normal use and peak at just over 1000 for HDR content, which is still good, but not the 1100 and almost 1300 respectively on the iPhone 13 pro.

but on the whole, the screen is top notch well top hole punch and because it's a ltpo panel it can dynamically adjust between 10 and 120 hertz which should save battery.

  • Battery Performance:

Pixel 6 pro

Wo what about the battery? first, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it unlike a lot of the old pixels that really suffered from the battery life, uh maybe even you use it for a few months and ai started to recognize its patterns and it got a little better. but I must say that the battery life on this pixel 6 pro is very good thanks to a very healthy 5000 million power battery.

but for an Android phone and a pixel where the battery life is very good, as well as supporting a quick 30-watt charge, although you have to pay 25 pounds more for the privilege of being able to do this because you don't have a charger in the box, it also supports wireless charging up to 23 watts if you have the new pixel support, otherwise, it's 12 watts with normal qi loads. also, we have reverse wireless charging if you want to recharge other devices, albeit slowly.

  • For the last things I want to say About Pixel 6 pro:

So let's wrap up and my biggest issues with Pixel 6 Pro include the lack of facial unlocking, also that the storage is a bit stingy, especially outside of us, and especially if you want good color too in some respects. The tensor core can't keep up with the competition and we're expecting a new snapdragon in a few months, so this could be further behind, but if none of those is a hurdle for you.

If you want to give any other information about google pixel 6 pro, let me know in the comments section. Peace!
